UNDER THE GALLERY

Located in Castellammare del Golfo, near Cala Capreria, 'Sotto la Galleria' consists of walls and arches formed by rocks and large boulders. The latter are placed in such a way as to create even a small entrance for those who love diving or snorkelling, and also allows it to be observed, creating amazement in visitors. In fact, those who enter it constantly come across colourful starfish, scorpion fish and bream in this sandy seabed, which amuses itself by showing amazing plays of light due to the 'inlets' between the rocks. Continuing towards the exit of the tunnel, one comes across a false coral and a stacks that are almost completely enveloped by yellow sponges, which become a meeting place for bream and dentex. The ascent from the gallery is pleasant and even allows one to meet and see specimens of pinna nobilis.
