CRAYFISH CAVE

CRAYFISH CAVE

The Grotta dei Gamberi (Cave of the Prawns) is located in Castellammare del Golfo and the entrance to this surreal place is at the foot of a wall full of spirographs and clavelines and it is easy to notice because one rock is completely covered with orange sponges. The Grotta dei Gamberi (Cave of the Prawns) takes this characteristic name, precisely because of the large number of red prawns inside, although visitors may also come across scorpionfish and mustelae. After visiting the cave, one can continue the dive tour by ascending the aforementioned wall, beyond which there is another wall that is a great help in ascending.
